Michael Synn, M.D., Director

Dr. Michael Synn is one of California's leading obstetric, gynecological and fertility specialists. Among his many accomplishments and awards, Dr. Synn recently received the prestigious VHA Award for physician champion. He joined Community Medical Centers in 1984 when he began his residency at UCSF Fresno Medical Education Program. He currently serves as an assistant clinical professor at UCSF Fresno and also dedicates his time, serving on Community’s Board of Trustees, serving as chairman of the Clovis Community Facility Executive Committee and the Quality Patient Safety Committee. In 2007, Dr. Synn was one of three doctors in a six-state region to receive the Physician Champion Award through VHA Inc., which brings together health care organizations in a nationwide alliance to improve health care. Dr. Synn resides in Clovis, with his wife Rosie and twin sons Kevin and Kenneth. His daughter, Kimberly is studying holistic health at San Diego Mesa College in California.

Carlos Sueldo, M.D., Co-Director
Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology

Dr. Carlos Sueldo founded the Community Fertility Center in 1984. Born and raised in Buenos Aires,  Argentina, Dr. Sueldo completed medical school at the University of Buenos Aires in 1970. He completed an internship and residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Chicago Medical School in 1976. After two years as junior faculty in Chicago, he joined the OB/GYN department at the UCSF Fresno Medical Education Program as a clinical assistant and completed a fellowship on reproductive endocrinology at the University of Southern California. Since 1994, he has been a professor in the OB/GYN department at UCSF Fresno. He serves as board director of the London based World Endometriosis Research Foundation, chairman of the International  Membership Committee for the Society of Reproductive Medicine. While previously dividing his time between  California and Argentina, Dr. Sueldo now resides in the Central Valley, where he is near his founding practice and his wife Dr. Maria Baccaro, daughter Dr. Carolina Sueldo and twin sons Matias and Alejandro.
