Expansion of Clovis Community

Emergency Department Expansion
No medical center, including Clovis Community Medical Center, can truly fulfill its mission to the community without a 24-hour emergency and urgent care services.  Our emergency department was built 20 years ago and must be expanded to keep up with the exponential growth of the Fresno/Clovis communities. Plans call for an increase from 13 to 38 exam/treatment spaces to keep pace with the growing population and demand for health care.

Women’s and Infant Pavilion
The Women’s and Infant Pavilion is one of the most exciting elements of the Clovis Community expansion plan. We’re designing a place centered on making every moment of birth process wonderful, memorable and comfortable. This means private rooms with hotel-like accommodations that welcome dads, siblings, grandparents, extended family and friends during mom’s stay.
Other women’s services, such as gynecology, breast care, weight-loss/bariatrics, plastic and other specialized surgeries are also important components of the Pavilion.

New Bed Tower
California’s Central Valley is drastically short of hospital beds to meet the needs of the growing population.  Our expansion plans include building a new five-story bed tower that will nearly double our size - to 208 private and meticulously thought out rooms.

Intensive Care
Caring for the most critically ill patients is a vital part of our mission, but we currently don’t have enough room to provide intensive care services to all who need it. Expansion plans include adding 24 Intensive Care Unit (ICU) rooms within the new bed tower.

Operating Rooms
Surgeons prefer Clovis Community because of our highly skilled nursing and care teams. This high demand means our surgery department currently works at maximum capacity.  To keep up with this demand, we’re planning to more than double the number of  operating rooms.

Parking
As more and more patients and visitors come to Clovis Community, parking has become a dilemma. To give patients and guests more convenience, we’re planning to build an attractive, 3-story parking structure near the medical center main entrance.
